It is rare for a 19th century literary manuscript to survive, especially one with the significance of Seven Little Australians. The manuscript, written on scraps of paper, is a record of her creative process. ‘Sketched out’ in 1893, Ethel’s 182-page manuscript would become one of Australia’s best known children’s stories and arguably her greatest achievement. This in turn makes Ethel Turner (married name Curlewis), the second of only two women of literature to be included in the Australian Chapter of UNESCO’s Memory of the World Program. He is further survived by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Sally Quella paternal grandparents, Richard and Elaine Sullivan 16 aunts and uncles, 30 cousins, and 23 second-cousins. Thomas is survived by his parents five siblings Michal (Abbey), Jaclyn (fiancé Luke), Ashley (Drew) Zajkowski, Amber and Paige a niece Everly and a faithful companion, Mo. His contagious smile will always be remembered. Thomas was always smiling and his smile would light up the room. At Sunday mass, he was sure to have the best seat in church, facing the choir of course. His family sang them to him every day and it instantly brought a smile to his face. The ABC’s were his go to and by far his favorite. His preferred playlist consists of 22 songs by various artists including Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole. In true Thomas fashion he overcame numerous medical challenges and defied many odds. He had an admirable determination for life. Shortly after his birth, their family relocated to Wisconsin where he lived the remainder of his life.įrom early on, Thomas’ family knew he had a beautiful soul and a tender heart. ![]() Thomas was born on Apto Chris and Carol (Quella) Sullivan, while stationed in Oxnard, CA. Noah writes letters to Allie over the years, but Allie's mother withholds them and Allie assumes Noah has forgotten her. The notebook is the story of Noah and Allie, two who were lovers as teenagers in a summer romance, but who were then separated by Allie's parents who felt Noah wasn't the best man for her. Believing in prayer as he does, he takes time to pray as he opens the book, puts on glasses and picks up a magnifying glass, and prepares to read. Noah knows the odds and science are both against him, and that he simply hopes for a miracle. Noah says mornings are always difficult and she will calm down later when the nurses have gone. He reaches a particular room and goes inside where he is greeted by nurses caring for a woman who is obviously upset. ![]() The people inside - like he - have gotten accustomed to being alone with only a television for company, and that a person can get used to anything. He says that he picks up a notebook that he has read many times and passes many doors. He describes his day in the nursing home.
